The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers serves as the union for a large number of government employees across various industries, including each branch of the armed services, the National Parks Service, The Department of Veterans Affairs, local, State, and Federal employees, utility, administration, shipbuilding, and general building maintenance. Although their job responsibilities and workplaces differ significantly, these employees share a common trait: they are all highly skilled. The IBEW takes pride in representing such a diverse group of government employees and advocating for their interests.

The IBEW represents many government workers across North America in a variety of federal agencies, bureaus, and departments, including:
